Daniel Haskett studied Illustration and Animation at UWE in Bristol, and now lives in Berlin.
Returning for his first solo exhibition in the city, which will showcase a selection of commissioned illustrations, alongside personal work that takes its inspiration from the mid-20th century street photographers Saul Leiter, and Vivian Maier.
Working as a screen printer, primarily with bright and vivid colours, the pieces on show will demonstrate a recent move towards a darker, more sober palette infiltrated with pockets of bold colour.
Vicki is a freelance designer and printmaker based in Norwich working under the name Printer Johnson. Vicki originally trained in textile design at Nottingham Trent.
After graduating Vicki worked as a freelance print designer while setting up and establishing Print to the People, an artist led social enterprise promoting traditional print making processes in Norwich. With increased access to a range of printmaking equipment through these studios Vicki started translating her textile design into paper based art work and illustration.
Inspired by flora, fauna and folklore Vicki uses a range of printmaking processes including screen printing, Cyanotype, Risograph and digital processes to produce her work.
Alongside the prints Vicki also produces a range of illustrated paper products including greetings cards, concertina postcard sets available for the first time at Here Gallery for the duration of the exhibition.
